Branch Brook Park Alliance

The Branch Brook Park Alliance (BBPA) is a public/private partnership that provides design expertise and funding support to help Essex County revitalize Newark’s Branch Brook Park. WSITS worked with the alliance’s designer to upgrade the previous site, focusing on an updated design and intuitive, consistent navigation. Alliance staff also wanted to handle all site updates. WSITS provided strategic consulting and guidance to the site designer; integrated Kentico, a licensed content management system; migrated content from the existing site; and provided CMS training for alliance staff. No Performance Tax

The National Association of Broadcasters wanted to rally its members and the public to help defeat a proposed performance tax that would hurt local radio stations and limit access to free radio. WSITS built a public microsite that explained the issue, engaged visitors and directed them to take action. Videos, text and news articles are used to explain the proposed tax and the threat to radio in simple terms, and regular blog entries keep users informed about the latest news. Visitors are asked to share why they love radio and are connected to the effort on other platforms, including Twitter, Facebook and YouTube. And an online letter-writing campaign allows visitors to directly contact their Senators and Congressman and urge them to oppose the pending legislation. Read More

Practice Safe DNS

.ORG, the Public Interest Registry wanted a platform to educate domain holders, registrars, web developers and IT professionals about how they can respectively play an increasingly relevant role in providing a safer and more secure Internet. WSITS brought the campaign to life through a social and educational hub that incorporates videos from "DNS heavy-hitters" discussing the threats lurking in the Internet's infrastructure and how best to combat them; the feed from dnssec-deployment.org, the blog of the DNSSEC Deployment Coordination Initiative; and information on DNS diversity and how security measures work.
